We took Alex to the "Blue Man Group" in NYC just after Thanksgiving. Afterward, Alex said this was THE BEST DAY OF HIS LIFE! --They don't talk. They just play drums on wierd things, rythmically eat Captain Crunch, shoot twinkies all over the place, and create a huge audienc-involved streamer party at the end complete with strobe lights....exactly, the best day of your life.
Alex and Megan were interviewed by CBS radio as we walked around the city. The interviewer wanted to know what Alex thought of the Christmas decorations in the window behind them, but all Alex could talk about was the "Blue Man Group." The reporter did not think that was very Christmasy--interview may get cut from prime time.
For Holly's birthday I got her some perfume, conveniently wrapped by the store with a bag and some napkins. Maybe it was the perfume brand, maybe it was because she had asked for a radio, maybe we'll never know--for what ever reason, Holly threw the napkins in the candles (only one shown still lit) and started a bonfire. My response was to blow the fire out, but instead I sent flaming napkins all over the kitchen. Amazingly, no one was hurt...but I'll be getting Holly exactly what she asks for next year.
