Mt. Sinai Harbor in Winter

The sea grass is all flattened in winter, but brilliant green in the summer--one of Long-Island's famous "salt marshes." The tide rises and falls 12 ft. so at low tide islands appear all over the harbor. Lot's of sea birds, and people digging for clams, kids getting muddy, etc. Posted by Picasa
